Senior Engineer

to join our Consulting Highways team. With a shared office space in our

Trafford

office and the ability to work we invite applications from across the region.The Trafford Highways Consulting account provides the local highway authority function on behalf of Trafford Council. The account comprises approximately 40 core engineers, technicians and support staff and is organised into four teams dealing with Traffic, Development Control and Drainage, Highway Maintenance and Highway Structures. It works with the wider Amey business network across specialist fields and skillsets to ensure that projects are delivered right first time, within budget and according to contractual obligations.The account has a significant work programme of projects including:Traffic and Transportation management schemesHighway structural maintenance schemesHighway drainage improvement schemesMaintenance and improvement of highway structuresIntegrated transport, public realm and road safety improvement schemesGreater Manchester Active Travel and bus network schemesHighway improvements funded through developer contributionsFlood and Drainage dutiesDevelopment Control dutiesPublic Rights of WayCarrington Relief RoadWhat You Will Bring To Us

Developed experience and expertise within Highways/Civil engineering field, probably gained in an Engineer role or equivalentComprehensive knowledge of design processes and procedures relevant to the civil engineering disciplineAn ability to produce or oversee the production of technically sound Highways engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirementsExperience in undertaking project related tasks associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) RegulationsSuccessful completion of the initial professional development leading to either Incorporated or Chartered status or an equivalent professional licence and to the level defined by their educationA demonstrable commitment to their plan of actions and key dates leading to successful completion of either the professional review or end point assessment, resulting in the award of Incorporated or Chartered status or an equivalent professional licenceBachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate subject or demonstrable equivalent further learningEngTech status is desirable, gained through the professional institution to which the individual is alignedWhat We Can Offer You
