Technical Support Officer

Job Title: Technical Support Officer Rate: £165 per day (Inside IR35 - umbrella) Location: Hillingdon - Hybrid Contract Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months Overview: We''re looking for a reliable and proactive Technical Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative and operational support across waste/environmental services and customer-facing teams. You''ll need to be organised, adaptable, and confident handling a busy workload with a strong focus on service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Respond to queries via phone, email, and CRM; escalate as needed. Support service requests, complaints, and day-to-day admin for waste/environmental operations. Deliver a flexible, accurate admin service across multiple teams. Maintain workflows, track tasks, and flag any issues or resource gaps. Help with financial queries and follow correct payment processes. Contribute to service improvements and process efficiencies. Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, and members of the public. Provide occasional support across other sites or functions if required. Requirements: Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English. Strong admin experience, ideally in a busy, multi-team environment. Confident with Excel, Word, Google Docs, and case management systems. Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills. Positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude Previous Experience within Local Government
