Head Chef St. Albans We are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to join the kitchen at our beautiful Grade II listed premises, based in the idyllic village of Sandridge, St. Albans. Our premises has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, including a brand-new kitchen, comprising high-level culinary equipment, required of an executive kitchen.We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated individual to deliver sophisticated menus, comprising fresh, high-quality and locally sourced ingredients. You will have demonstrable experience in the following: - Solid understanding of the importance of locally sourced and home-made produce and it''s addition to the menu, through the creation of exemplary seasonal offerings. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation Thorough understanding of nutritional, dietary and allergen requirements Day to day operational management of the kitchen and kitchen team. Experience in the creation and delivery of a seasonal menu, ensuring customer attraction is maximised. Maintaining an effective stock control system Full accountability for the creation of function/ event menus, in accordance with client request. Responsible for assessing kitchen staff headcount and recruiting in line with company requirement. Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, delegating where necessary to ensure the restaurants current ''5 star'' food hygiene rating is upheld. Monitoring kitchen appliances and ensuring
