Senior Underwriter - Media. QBE are growing our Media offering with two newly created roles, including a Senior Underwriter to join our London office, working in a hybrid pattern. Part of our wider Financial Lines and PI offerings, we are expanding our pre-existing book, building out our appetite and global coverage, and writing on Lloyd''s and company stamps. Leverage existing relationships to work in an experienced, supportive team and help define our media offering.Responsibilities

Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the Business Plan and personal authority to meet business objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues to maximise influenceDevelop relationships in line with the Business Plan to support the achievement of business objectivesParticipate fully and use your expertise to shape and develop strategy, knowledge and best practicePromote the department, division and QBE as a whole to maximise brand leverageAdhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiencyStay abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to operate effectivelyAbout You / Qualifications

Prior experience within media underwriting, preferably globalCommercial ability to understand the key profit drivers to maximise long-term value for shareholdersExcellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence actions and attitudes of others by leading by exampleGood negotiating skills, innovative in underwriting approach and programme designWhy QBE?
