This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with mild to complex needs in a supportive, inclusive setting.About the Role: Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Rochdale OL11, mainstream primary school Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, until July Salary: Competitive, based on experienceKey Responsibilities: Work with children across a range of needs, including global delay, autism, and non-verbal communication. Support a class of 6-8 children, under the guidance of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), alongside a team of 4 TAs. Assist with activities designed to develop children''s communication and learning skills. Provide a calm and nurturing environment, encouraging children to engage and develop at their own pace. Promote the social and emotional development of children with varied needs, ensuring inclusion and participation.About You: Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a classroom setting. Knowledge and understanding of children with global delay, autism, and those who are non-verbal. A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to working with children with diverse needs.
