AWS Public Sector Senior Cloud Architect - DevOps is a Senior Delivery Consultant role within AWS ProServe. You will work with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet technical requirements and business objectives. You will guide customers through their cloud journey with technical expertise and best practices across the project lifecycle, focusing on architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.You will assess current infrastructure, gather requirements, and propose migration strategies to AWS. You will act as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies, lead the implementation process, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout the project.The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team that helps customers realize business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud, collaborating with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, and delivering guidance through global specialty practices.Key responsibilities

Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needsProviding technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project deliveryCollaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategiesActing as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologiesSharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifactsEligibility

Eligibility requirement: This role requires you to be a Swedish National and have business level proficiency in the Swedish language.Basic qualifications

7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience5+ years hands-on experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python); design, automate, and optimize infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy; experience with revision control repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce)Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS) or AWS ECS or Argo CDPreferred qualifications

AWS experience with proficiency across services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferredExperience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) and knowledge of security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR)Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to conduct technical workshops, training sessions, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and contribute to technical articles or open source projects; provide guidance and mentorship to teams, partners, and customers
