Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on the Australian federal government sector, including recruitment, coaching, and performance managementDevelop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow AWS''s presence across federal agenciesBuild and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers in federal government departments and agenciesWork closely with customers to understand their mission objectives and develop solutions that address their unique challengesCollaborate with AWS security and compliance teams to ensure offerings meet the specific requirements of Australian government agenciesPartner with the AWS Partner Network to build a robust ecosystem of partners that can support federal government customersDevelop and manage complex sales cycles, from opportunity identification through contract negotiationRepresent AWS at government events, conferences, and industry forumsCollaborate with global AWS public sector teams to share best practices and leverage global expertiseProvide regular reporting and insights to AWS leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and business performanceAbout the team

10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience5+ years of sales management experienceExperience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalentExperience working with Australian federal government agencies and understanding of their procurement processesKnowledge of government security and compliance frameworks, including IRAP, Protected certification requirements, and the Digital Transformation Agency''s Secure Cloud StrategyProven track record of leading teams to achieve significant business growthExperience selling complex technology solutions to government customersStrong understanding of cloud computing technologies and their application in government environmentsPrevious experience with AWS technologies or other cloud platformsUnderstanding of government IT modernization challenges and approachesAbility to obtain security clearances as requiredPreferred Qualifications
