Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Area: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Rate: GBP90 - GBP120 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the School:
We are working with a fantastic special needs school in Bradford, dedicated to supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be an integral part of the team, working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure that students receive the personalised support they need to succeed.
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with diverse SEN, helping them to engage with lessons and activities.
Assist in the delivery of personalized learning plans that meet the individual needs outlined in students'' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Support students in developing their social, emotional, and behavioral skills, ensuring they are fully engaged in their learning.
Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement strategies that promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Encourage students to build their confidence and independence in both academic and social settings.
What Were Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a school setting.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs.
A genuine passion for education and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
The ability to adapt teaching methods and support strategies to suit individual students.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
To be eligible, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to apply for a new one.
Provide two professional child-related references.
