Location: Manchester - Office basedSalary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOEMonday to Friday working 8:30 - 17:00 or 9:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)The successful candidate must drive and have their own car due to the need to travel to a Data Centre and transport equipment.Daisy is seeking a passionate and technically astute IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical proficiency and a proven track record in delivering complex integration and separation projects. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure within our internal and externally hosted systems. A deep understanding of IT security, networking, and cloud platforms—particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure—is essential.This role offers a unique opportunity to help define and develop the core IT infrastructure of Daisy, ensuring it remains robust, secure, and adaptable to future business needs. If you are driven by high standards and are eager to make a lasting impact within a dynamic organisation, we would love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and assist with the implementation of a Daisy standalone IT infrastructure.Design, support and optimise physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.Work with external networking, infrastructure and support teams.Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for system administration tasksManage and complete effective documentation of server procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systemsActively perform system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all servers, systems and key processesBe an escalation point for the deskside support team.Mentor the junior members of the IT teamBe able to act on Cyber Security AlertsQualifications
