Are you a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Are you seeking a rewarding, long-term role where you can make a real difference?
Horizon Teachers is supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Reception-aged child who will be new to the school in September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for the full academic year.
The Role:
Supporting a Reception child with SEN on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day
Helping them to settle into their new school environment
Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
Contributing to learning plans, progress reports, and EHCP reviews
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
What We''re Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in an EYFS or KS1 setting
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
An understanding of the importance of consistency and early intervention
A genuine passion for helping young children thrive
A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
