The Information Security Engagement Analyst performs a critical role in the maintenance and implementation of security for the organisation. The analyst supports the BISO function to help the organisation achieve its goals. This role focuses on engaging the business to consider Information Security in everything they do, with a strong understanding of workflows, reporting, and request management. You will work directly with the business to triage and manage requests and ensure the relevant security experts are available to support.This is an opportunity for a budding security professional to gain experience in a fast-paced, multi-national organisation.Key Elements of the Role
Workflow Management
Manage new requests, triage and respond quickly to the businessKeep tickets up to dateProvide customers with vital updates throughout the lifecycle of their requestEnsure the security team are working to internal deadlines to respond to customersSupport the Group BISO in regular updates on workflow performance to feed into senior managementBusiness Engagement
Act as a strong liaison within the initial engagement in the team via the front doorWork with the business to clearly communicate process and expectations at the initiation of an engagementSupport the BISO function when delivering security engagementsPromote security best practices wherever you work with the businessSupport the creation of key project documentation, awareness material, and security insights for the businessCapacity Management and Reporting
Triage, review and manage new project and security requests to provide a quality, repeatable security assessmentEnsure the security team has ample resources to respond to requests and provide feedback accordinglyCommunicate across all security teams to ensure requests are understood and actionedCommunicate capacity concerns to be reviewed by the senior teamManage the BISO reporting dashboards and KPIsGather, analyse and manipulate data to gain insights and provide relevant feedbackReport back to the Group BISO and CISO weekly to deliver meaningful insightsSkills and Experience
The Job Holder Will Demonstrate
Clear, concise, and engaging communication skills, both verbally and in writing, including proficiency with reporting and presentation toolsAbility to manage multiple activities consecutivelyPositive attitude toward learning and developing security skillsAbility to work collaboratively with internal entities and third-party providersThe job holder is expected to possess the following skill set:Ability to multitask and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skillsAbility to extract clarity from fast-paced, evolving scenarios and resolve ambiguity in a large, complex organisationAbility to articulate goals, achievements, risks, expectations, and needsAdaptability to changing prioritiesWorking knowledge of information security principlesAwareness of IT and how that is applied in large retailersStrong skills in basic MS Office tools, workflow management tools and reporting (Power BI)Preferred Qualifications
Industry-standard qualifications and training such as SANS, GIAC or CISSP are desirable but not essential
