New Vacancy - Airfreight Import ClerkWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Airfreight Import Clerk to join our clients growing team based in Egham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong import knowledge to take full ownership of shipments from start to finish within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pmSalary: £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)Key Responsibilities:Manage airfreight import shipments from arrival through to final deliveryComplete and submit customs entries in line with HMRC regulationsEnsure all documentation is accurate and processed in a timely mannerArrange collections and deliveries, ensuring deadlines and service levels are metMonitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or issuesCalculate and manage costing, invoicing, and chargeable servicesMaintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and high levels of customer serviceEnsure compliance with all customs procedures and company policiesWork closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flowRequirements:Minimum of 1-2 years + experience in airfreight imports (end-to-end)Strong working knowledge of UK customs import procedures and regulationsExperience handling customs entries from start to finishFamiliarity with Cargowise and Sequoia systems is highly desirableUnderstanding of multi-modal transport (air, road, and sea) is advantageousFull
