Overview
Health and Safety Officer – Live Events Industry. We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Officer to join our Projects Department, playing a key role in maintaining high standards of health and safety across a range of exciting live event productions.This role requires someone with a strong understanding of HSE legislation and industry best practices, who is confident delivering RAMS, leading audits, and ensuring compliance across all levels of production – from warehouse to onsite delivery. You’ll be instrumental in upholding our ISO accreditations and driving a strong safety culture throughout the business.Key Responsibilities
Maintain and develop the company’s Health and Safety Management SystemManage ISO 9001 and 45001 accreditationsPrepare and deliver risk assessments, method statements, and event safety plansSupport onsite safety management, including toolbox talks and inductionsLiaise with venues, clients, and local authorities as neededConduct internal audits and inspections to ensure complianceInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actionsDeliver health and safety training across the business, including contractorsProvide guidance on safe systems of work for rigging, staging, AV, power, and scenic installationsWork with warehouse teams to ensure equipment inspections are maintainedStay up to date with relevant legislation and HSE industry guidelinesSupport GDPR compliance initiatives where requiredWhat We’re Looking For
NEBOSH General Certificate
(or equivalent)Minimum
3 years’ experience
in a health and safety role – ideally within live events or entertainmentKnowledge of UK HandS legislation and CDM regulationsExperience writing and delivering RAMSStrong audit and reporting skillsExperience managing incident reporting proceduresFamiliarity with ISO standards and accreditation maintenanceExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSound decision-making abilityA collaborative, proactive, and flexible approachComfortable with non-standard working hours, including onsite supportFull UK driving licence
