In 2022, we worked on more than 125 restructuring-related transactions on behalf of companies, their creditors and shareholders, and other constituents.ScopeAs a Vice President in our Financial Restructuring Group you will lead execution on a variety of transactions, including debtor- and creditor-side restructurings and distressed mergers and acquisitions. The group offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that provide exposure to a wide variety of financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.These services include:Advising companies and stakeholders in out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructuringsRaising debt and equity financingProviding distressed MandA advisory servicesAdvising in special situations with elements of distressed investingParticipating in complex negotiations on behalf of our clientsResponsibilitiesYou will lead the execution on a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers and acquisitionsPrepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial informationCoordinate and perform business due diligence, lead and execute MandA transactionsPrepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentationsValue companies and businessesAssist in the marketing and planning of engagementsBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisorsRequirement QualificationsDegree qualified7-11 years’ experience in Restructuring or Leveraged FinanceProven deal execution experience in Financial Restructuring, Leveraged Finance or MandADemonstrable experience in leading discussions with senior client executives and target managementDevelop and review financial models including database systemsMust have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneouslyStrong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitaskAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to grow our business and act entrepreneuriallyMotivated, creative, outgoing and possess strong skills in financial analysisStrong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theoryKeen analytical abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAssist in initiating and extending group marketing and client development effortsDevelop professional network and relationships with firm, client and target professionalsManagement skills in supervising and training staffWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
