On behalf of our client, an Aerospace & Defence manufacturing business we''re actively recruiting a Quality Engineer to join their team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AS9100 and FAIRs processes.

Role

• Investigating and responding to non-conformances.
• Analysing quality data and work with the team to drive continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure company approvals (AS9100, ISO14001 & NADCAP) remain in place.
• Work closely clients and suppliers ensuring the highest level of quality is maintained.
• Assisting the Quality Manager in maintaining equipment and devices.

Skills

• Good understanding of aerospace quality management systems (QMS).
• Understanding of AS9100 and FAIRs process.
• ISO9001, ISO14001 and Nadcap experience, preferred.
• Experience of various inspection tools and the ability to understand inspection reports.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of sheet metal / welding / fabrication techniques, preferred.
• Competent with MS Office and SAP.
