Our Client:A fast growing insurance business is seeking an experienced corporate Lawyer (9+ PQE) to be the Head of Corporate Legal reporting to the CEO and working with the C-suite level in a strategic role.This is a senior position that offers considerable scope for progression into a General Counsel/ Chief Legal Officer position within 12-18 months for the right candidate.This highly regarded institution operates on a global scale and is looking to scale up their business significantly in the next few years, making it an exciting time to join.Key Responsibilities:As the Head for Corporate Legal, your responsibilities will include:Lead and manage the corporate legal function, providing expert advice on corporate law matters including company structuring, governance, and regulatory obligations.Advise senior leadership on legal aspects of strategic initiatives, including joint ventures, acquisitions, capital raising, and corporate reorganisations.Oversee legal support for board and shareholder matters, including drafting resolutions, managing filings, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.Act as a key liaison with external counsel, regulators, and internal stakeholders on corporate legal issues.Support the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, assessing impact and advising the business accordingly.Qualifications and Experience:10 years''+ PQE as a corporate/MandA lawyer in private practice or in-house in an insurance legal team.*Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a sharp eye for detail.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.A commercial mindset, focused on delivering pragmatic, business-oriented legal solutions.*Candidates with relevant experience outside the PQE bracket are also encouraged to apply.Seniority level
