We have an exciting opportunity for a strong and empathetic Mammographer to join our Imaging team as a Bank Mammographer.As a bank mammographer you will assist in providing a high-quality mammography service for both our breast screening programme and symptomatic service.This role is ideal for someone who has excellent listening skills in order build an affinity with patients in a short space of time and the knowledge of the service to be able to give advice when necessary.This a bank role and is therefore a zero hours contract working flexibly to cover holiday, absence and fluctuating hospital volumes. The department working hours are Monday-Friday, 8.00am - 8.00pm with occasional weekend working.Role ResponsibilitiesThe mammographer will:Provide a fully comprehensive Mammography service for the screening programme and symptomatic serviceObtain and maintain a high level of competency to meet National Standards.Actively encourage collaborative working relationships with the administration teams to ensure radiology reports are processed quickly and efficiently.Comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, IRMER (2017) and IRR17, MHRA and all other such relevant regulations and guidelines as appropriate to the delivery of independent sector imaging servicesAct as an operato
