About the Company

We are a growing, independent freight forwarding business specialising in road, ocean, and customs solutions.

With a strong reputation for delivering flexible, customer-focused logistics services, we are now looking to recruit a Freight Forwarder to join our operations team.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role with a focus on European road freight operations, alongside exposure to customs and wider logistics activities.

You''ll play a key role in coordinating shipments, liaising with customers and suppliers, and ensuring smooth end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage European road freight shipments
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and international partners
• Handle shipment queries and resolve operational issues
• Support import and export customs processes
• Assist with quoting and pricing where required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records
• Support wider logistics operations when needed

About You

Essential:

• Experience in freight forwarding or transport planning (road preferred)
• Understanding of import/export or customs processes
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Confident using IT systems

Desirable

• Experience with European road freight (groupage or full load)
• Exposure to customs procedures
• Experience working in a smaller or fast-paced business
