role at Cigna Healthcare. This position is part of the newly set up Portfolio Optimisation and Execution office (POandE) and is responsible for leading the delivery of Epics and large business transformation programs/projects within an Agile or Waterfall context, with focus on regulatory and compliance initiatives.Responsibilities
Oversee and deliver Epics/Programmes/Projects including those with high-level senior business stakeholder interaction.Partner with senior leadership from the Business and IT to identify and prioritise opportunities to achieve Epic/Programme/Project goals.Serve as point of escalation for business sponsors, IT executives and key project stakeholders.Provide strong leadership of virtual, globally distributed teams with clear communication of progress and expectations.Manage budgets and financials for multiyear Epics/Programmes/Projects.Provide thought leadership in business strategy development and solution assessments related to major initiatives.Provide Epic/Programme/Project Management leadership and consultation to project teams and senior stakeholders.Chair Steering Committee meetings with senior business and IT leaders, delivering concise updates and decisions on scope, time and budget.Ensure business readiness and collaborate with Business Readiness resources to cover all bases including non-IT deliverables.Maintain Epic/Programme/Project governance with RAID logs, proactive risk and issue management, and regular reporting and stakeholder engagement.Act as a champion for Agile tools, process and methodologies.Lead scoping, definition and execution alignment to Epic/Programme/Project goals; lead feasibility studies and requirements gathering as needed.Establish measurable and achievable critical success factors for initiatives.Control planning and execution to meet cost, time and quality goals.Develop and maintain Epic/Programme/Project plans.Motivate, mentor and develop project team members and foster accountability.Improve and apply best practices in Epic/Programme/Project management.Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Epic/Program/Project Management with delivery experience across Agile, Iterative and Incremental, and Waterfall methodologies.Strong understanding of digital and regulatory issues within the health insurance industry.Business Degree qualified.Knowledge of, qualifications and/or certifications in project/program management methodologies such as MSP, PMP and Prince2.Experience delivering programs/projects using Agile/SAFe frameworks and large-scale transformation initiatives.Experience delivering large business transformation Digital/Regulatory projects/programmes.Proven leadership in communicating with staff, peers and stakeholders on large programs/projects.Structured written and oral communication, with ability to liaise with senior business stakeholders clearly and concisely.Financial forecasting, planning, budgeting and cost control across multiple work streams.Experience managing virtual/global teams is desirable.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ownership mindset and proactive behavior.Ability to communicate effectively across cultural differences as required.Proven program/project management and leadership skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Project.Strong analytical, organizational, planning and time management skills; experience implementing new processes and driving change in large organizations.Experience with large-scale systems environments and technology solutions; ability to drive process improvement.Understanding of IT delivery practices and multiple Scrum Teams/Release Trains is desirable but not required.About Cigna Healthcare
