Procurement Manager

Overview
We have been exclusively mandated to assist an established Property firm in recruiting for a start-up regional housebuilding business.This is a genuine opportunity to join something brand new and play a fundamental part in forging how the new entity will operate, through early-stage growth to starting new regions in time. Developments will be mixed tenure and span private residential, partnerships and BTR, with significant funding in place and an ambitious Senior Leadership Team.Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for the creation, development and management of the material procurement function. Setting up and managing centralised category management, transactional and strategic ordering of materials, working closely with operational teams to ensure best value is achieved through Group Arrangements to maximise purchasing power, efficiency and value across supply chains. To take full responsibility for managing material cost base and supplier strategy, de-risking material spend across developments by fixing costs through Group Agreements.Qualifications
Minimum 10 years in material procurement roles within housebuilding or residential development.Demonstrated experience implementing procurement strategy and Group Agreements.Exposure to a startup or quick growth environment will be well received.Strong understanding of procurement strategy, rebates and supplier management.Proficient in digital platforms for supplier management and tracking cost saving.Strong negotiation, leadership and communication skills.Seniority level
