Take ultimate responsibility for Site Quality ManagementEnsuring operational compliance to specifications + quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)Providing support and line management responsibility for Quality Team (direct reports)Providing subject matter expertise with regards to quality standards, operations tools and techniquesSupporting and energising others across the business to identify and implement their improvement ideasContinually improving manufacturing process and implementing Lean Manufacturing methodsEnsuring governance of site Quality Management System (QMS) applicable to Site OperationsYour Skills And Experiences
Degree in a desirable discipline (Science / Engineering / Manufacturing / Aerospace) or time served in an Engineering discipline with substantial experience and supporting qualificationsPrevious experience managing Quality Systems in a manufacturing environment of a similarly highly controlled nature (aerospace, automotive, nuclear, pharma, medical devices, etc.)Demonstrable experience with statistical control methods and systems, with a proven ability to implement and use appropriately (for example, Sig Sigma Black Belt)Experience managing and developing teams to a standard that assures the provision of operational support, governance, and analytical expertise to assist in process optimisationThe Team
As Site Quality Manager, you will be responsible for Quality within the manufacturing areas of the site and driving and supporting Continuous Improvement activities. This role will provide you with a high level of autonomy to lead and develop an experienced team of Quality Engineers and Controllers. The role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your career within BAE Systems due to exposure gained across multiple business areas.Benefits
