Teacher of Physical Education needed for Enfield Secondary School

1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery
Plan, deliver, and assess physical education lessons in line with national curriculum standards.
Teach a wide range of sports and physical activities (e.g., athletics, team sports, gymnastics, fitness).
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with disabilities or lower fitness levels.
Encourage students to develop lifelong habits of physical activity and healthy living.
Educate students on the importance of physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.
Monitor students’ physical development and provide guidance for improvement.
Promote teamwork, cooperation, and leadership through group activities and sports.
Help students develop self-discipline, resilience, and confidence.
Address issues such as sportsmanship, fair play, and respect.
Organize and supervise school sports clubs, teams, and competitions.
Lead after-school or lunchtime physical activity sessions.
Coordinate with external organizations for sports events or workshops.
Ensure all physical activities are conducted safely.
Conduct risk assessments for equipment and facilities.
Respond to injuries and emergencies appropriately.
Serve as a positive role model in attitude, behavior, and lifestyle.
Motivate and mentor students, particularly those struggling with confidence or engagement.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all learners.
Maintain records of student progress and fitness levels.
Communicate with parents and caregivers about student development.
Work with other staff to support students'' academic and personal growth.
