An Equipment Proving Engineer is required for a long term contract assignment based in Stevenage.Skillset/experience required:MATLAB / Simulink test harness code writing or programming with good structured techniquesEquipment module bench rig construction with test equipment and computer driven test scenarios using MATLAB or other programming languagesInterpretation of equipment requirementsSynthetic data and signal injectionProficient in MS Office, writing procedures, diagrams, plans and documenting code and test set ups Responsibilities:Work closely with systems and RF design engineers to understand functional and performance requirements before translating them into a suitable test approachDevelop MATLAB code or other preferred options, to automatically characterise and verify Equipment Under TestDevelopment of bespoke test tools, including hardware rigs and automated test frameworks.Develop and maintain verification procedures, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with systems, software, hardware, and firmware teams.Conduct proving activities in a laboratory environment to characterise and verify equipment performance and functions.Analyse and interpret test data, investigating anomalies and working with design teams to identify root causes.Prepare clear, concise, and technically robust evidence to support equipment design verification.Support design reviews and stakeholder engagements with test findings and technical insight.Contribute to continuous impro
