Street Lighting Engineer

to join our team on the M25 DBFO project. This role involves undertaking design projects, managing timelines and external consultants, and ensuring effective communication among team members, the supply chain, and stakeholders.What you''ll be doingAssist in planning, organizing, and overseeing design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.Undertake lighting designs using Lighting Reality design or similar software.Prepare and maintain design documentation, including project briefs, timelines, and works information.Manage external consultants undertaking designs.Review design outputs for accuracy and consistency, ensuring they align with project goals, the DMRB, and relevant standards.Collect and organize feedback from the supply chain, client, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication.Stay updated on the DMRB, changes in standards, and best practices, sharing insights with the team.Who we''re looking forBachelor’s degree in Electrical or related field (preferred).ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma (preferred).Proven experience in highway lighting projects.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW, and relevant regulations and standards.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.Passion for design and teamwork.Membership of a professional body.Professional qualification or working towards one.Why work for usOur teams deliver significant projects that develop and maintain vital infrastructure, supporting economies and communities.Why join us?We offer a range of benefits including flexible working, paid leave, pension, share plans, and more.About usConnect Plus Services manages the operation of the M25, working on behalf of National Highways, with a dedicated team across multiple locations.Diversity and inclusionWe value diversity and inclusion, actively working to create an inclusive culture.
