Freelance Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee complex construction and demolition projects across Central London. This is a 12-month contract with an immediate start, suited to a hands-on professional with a strong track record in delivering high-value projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from inception through to completion
• Coordinate all stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and site teams
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
• Oversee programme delivery, cost control, and resource allocation
• Provide strong on-site leadership and day-to-day decision making
• Manage risk, resolve issues, and adapt to changing project requirements
• Maintain clear communication across all levels to drive project success

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing construction and/or demolition projects
• Strong understanding of project planning, resource management, and delivery
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build effective relationships
• Knowledge of H&S regulations and safe site practices
• Experience working on cut & carve, RC frame, or refurbishment projects desirable
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

Qualifications & Certifications (Desirable)

• HND / Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or similar
• SMSTS
• CSCS (Black/Professional level preferred)
• Temporary Works Coordinator
• First Aid, Asbestos Awareness
