Due to increased global growth, our client, who is a well-established multi-national SME company, who is rapidly expanding and specialize in offering supply chain and logistics solutions, are looking to recruit an Air Import Clerk to be based in the Trafford, Manchester area.

Main Purpose of the role:

A successful applicant will assist the Air Import Manager and Air Import Supervisor in the day to day running of a busy Import department. A keen eye for detail along with the ability to help produce high quality, accurate work in a fast paced often pressured environment will be required.

Duties and Responsibilities of the an Air Import Clerk:

• Arranging collections and deliveries
• Organizing the transportation of goods from the origin to the final destination.
• Handling invoices and payments, processing invoices and ensuring timely payment for services.
• Resolving discrepancies and delays, investigating and resolving any issues or delays that may occur during the import process.
• Providing customer service, keeping customers informed about the status of their shipments and addressing any enquiries and prepare quotations to clients as and when necessary
• Working with customs systems, Demonstrating a good working knowledge of ASM / Sequoia systems Preparing accurate and compliant Customs entries.

To Be Considered:

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment
• Ability to prepare accurate Customs Entries
• Minimum of 2 years experience of working within an import environment.
• Experience within an operation of an ETSF facility is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
• Be able to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively
• Have a good working knowledge of ASM/Sequoia/WebCargo
