Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively partnering with our well established client in the Washington/Sunderland area who due to continued growth and investment are looking to add a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to their team. The business has invested substantially in new equipment so there will be a diversity of new projects to be a part of. Key Responsibilities Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance Diagnose and repair breakdowns on CNC routers, edgebanders, saws, drills, wood burners, woodchippers, and dust extraction systems. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime. Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Keep accurate maintenance and service records. Skills Required Ideally you will have expreience in the woodworking industry or similar Time-served Engineer 18th edition Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. PLC fault finding experience (advantageous but not essential). Flexible to provide cover out of hours when needed. Full UK driving license. This role will occasionally need to support other sites in Newcastle. (Company transport provided)
