This newly created Finance Manager role offers the chance to take ownership of the finance function, play a key part in commercial decision-making, and lead a small but committed team. The Finance Manager will also drive improvements across reporting, processes, and controls during an exciting period of change and investment.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts (including group consolidations)Improve management information reporting to strengthen KPI and trend analysisSupport annual budgets and forecasting, reporting performance against targets with clear financial insightDeliver rolling cash flow forecasts and manage day-to-day cash flowOversee supplier payment strategy, ensuring effective prioritisation and negotiationSupport and develop the small finance teamAct as a point of contact for external auditors and ensure strong systems and controls are maintainedOversee VAT returns and other compliance areasProvide additional financial analysis to support wider business decision-makingAbout YouQualified or finalist accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)Manufacturing or similar sector background is essentialProven track record managing cash-constrained environments and supplier negotiationsStrong people manager able to lead, motivate, and support staffConfident and resilient, able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a direct SME cultureIf you''re looking
