About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 30 bedded care home located in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality care to the elderly and a strong background in managing a care home facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the care home, including staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and services for residents

Recruit, train, and manage a team of care staff, ensuring they are providing compassionate and effective care to residents

Monitor and maintain the care home's budget, including managing expenses and revenue

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CQC guidelines

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for residents and staff

Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders

Handle any complaints or concerns from residents or their families in a professional and timely manner

Continuously evaluate and improve the care home's services and facilities to meet the changing needs of residents

Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role in a care home setting

NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification

Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and standards

Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Knowledge of budget management and financial planning

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed

Must be eligible to work in the UK
