KS2 Teacher - PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) | Wirral

We are seeking a resilient, compassionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) on the Wirral.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils who need additional support to re-engage with education.

You will be working with Key Stage 2 pupils who present with a range of needs, including:

• SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)

• Autism (ASC)

• Challenging behaviour

The class requires a teacher who can provide structure, consistency and engaging lessons, while building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.

• Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons

• Manage behaviour in a calm, consistent and firm manner

• Support pupils'' emotional regulation and development

• Build positive relationships to re-engage learners

• Work closely with support staff and external agencies

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience within SEND or PRU settings

• Strong understanding of SEMH, Autism and behaviour management

• Resilient, patient and adaptable approach

• Passion for supporting vulnerable pupils

• A teacher who is firm, fair and consistent

• Someone who can connect with and motivate hard-to-reach pupils

• Strong classroom presence and emotional intelligence
