We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team as a
Senior Financial Analyst
as part of the wider Corporate Services community. In this role you will be maintaining financial processes, systems and controls as well as analysing and reporting on financial performance. This role is key to ensuring we promote effective financial management across OS.As Senior Financial Analyst you will also support the development and maintenance of controls and procedures and process accounting entries to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory audit requirements. You will also find yourself supporting development and maintenance of systems and processes to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance and position, so it’s important you are analytical with attention to detail.A key part of this role will be providing advice and educating stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with financial policies and to promote understanding of financial information. You will be working closely with our Finance Business Partners to report accurate financial information for our business units and expert functions. You will also be supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and analysis of financial performance and position whilst supporting planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Responsibilities
Maintain financial processes, systems and controls and report on financial performance.Develop and maintain controls and procedures and process accounting entries to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory audit requirements.Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly/year-end reporting and analysis.Advise and educate stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policies and promote understanding of financial information.Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to deliver accurate financial information for business units and expert functions.Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT and Corporation Tax; UK GAAP knowledge is desirable but not essential.Engage with external advisors (auditors and tax specialists) as needed.Qualifications
Studying towards / part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, or qualified by experience.Experience preparing consolidation models and financial statements.Strong MS Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., D365) and SAP (preferable but not essential).Ordnance Survey is proud to be an accredited CIMA Development Quality Partner, showing our commitment to supporting finance professionals.Benefits

Location: We operate a hybrid model. The role is based at our Southampton HQ with approximately 2 days per week on-site.Security: OS conducts pre-employment checks including identity, right to work, employment history and DBS where applicable.
