Yorkshire Precision engineering ltd  are a family run subcontract engineering business supplying components to a wide variety of industries including subsea, medical and hydraulic industries, and are looking for a General Duties Operative to join our team.  

Job Description

• Operation of Forklift truck & Overhead crane manouvering materials in the factory and taking deliveries.
• Loading / Unloading CNC machines
• De-burring / Polishing of components when required. 
• Organising Material racks
• Ocasionally helping out the packing operatives
• Keeping up with general house keeping of the factory
• Cleaning of machine sumps and topping up with coolant
• Opreration of the Bandsaw to cut billets or bar to length
• Working across 2 sites
• Wrapping of pallets for delivery

Skills Required

• Must have an eye for detail
• Fork lift or Crane licence prefered but not required (We would put you on a course for these)
• Must be Self-motivated, dedicated and able to work under own initiative.
• Willing to help others if needed
• ability to read Micrometers is advantagous

HOURS OF WORK:                MON:              7.00AM – 5.30PM

                                                TUES:             7.00AM – 5.30PM

                                                WED:              7.00AM – 5.30PM

                                                THURS:          7.00AM – 5.30PM

• LUNCH BREAK:  ½  Hour     12.30-1PM
• x2 15 MINIUTE PAID BREAKS MID MORNING & AFTERNOON
• TOTAL PER WEEK: 40 Hours
• 4 DAY WEEK
• HOLIDAYS:  200 HOURS per year floating, plus statutory days.       
• Pay Period: Monthly by BACS Transfer.
• Workplace Pension Scheme in place.
