Blue Arrow Derby are proud to be working in partnership with our client based in Derby, they are looking to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Site Technician to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.Salary: 29,725 - 32,800 DOEWorking Hours: 38.75 hours per week - Monday to Friday, primarily site-based with some work at another site. Opportunity for paid overtime, with occasional weekend work requiredAbout the job: Carry out geotechnical site and laboratory testing Maintaining competency/authorisation for the necessary range of test procedures Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects or damage is reported Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out Ensure that all necessary test information, results and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures Maintain good site working practice at all timesPrevious experience/qualifications required:Experience in geotechnical testing Knowledge and experience of site and lab-based geotechnical test methods The ability to support training and development of other technicians Ability to calibrate test equipment Motivated and focussed, with a positive outlook/approach Be able to work with a varied workload Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team Ability to work with minima
