Production Operator Dunston, Gateshead Working Hours: Monday Thursday 07:00am 15:00pm, Friday 07:00am 14:30pm £12.50 per hour Purpose of the Role To support the powder coating process by preparing, loading, unloading, inspecting, and packaging components to meet production targets and quality standards. The role involves manual handling, attention to detail, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning, and hanging parts on jigs or conveyor lines. Assist loading and unloading parts from trollies or the powder coating line. Carry out basic quality checks to ensure coated products meet the required finish and thickness standards. Operate hand tools and lifting equipment safely (after training). Support the maintenance of housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times. Assist with colour changes, booth cleaning, and basic maintenance when required. Work closely with the powder coating team to ensure smooth workflow and timely production. Report any equipment faults, defects, or quality issues to the supervisor immediately. Package finished products ready for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and protection during transport.
