We''re supporting an established, award-winning energy and sustainability consultancy to appoint an experienced Energy Consultant to drive new business growth across mid-market and multi-site clients.
This is a consultative, client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships from scratch, is comfortable with proactive outreach, and can operate credibly with senior stakeholders.
The Role
This is a new business-led position, where you''ll take ownership of building your own pipeline while also managing and converting qualified opportunities.
Working across SMEs, multi-site organisations, and public sector clients, you''ll support businesses with energy procurement, compliance, and sustainability strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through cold calling, outreach, networking, and referrals
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of mid-market and multi-site clients
- Lead structured, value-led conversations with senior decision-makers
- Develop long-term client relationships and manage ongoing accounts
- Convert inbound and qualified leads alongside self-generated opportunities
- Advise on procurement strategy, contract structures, and risk management
- Support clients with compliance, cost optimisation, and sustainability initiatives
Requirements
- Proven B2B sales experience within a consultative environment
- Strong track record of winning new business through proactive outreach
- Experience managing both self-generated pipeline and inbound opportunities
- Exposure to mid-market, multi-site, or public sector clients is advantageous
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders in a professional manner
- Relationship-led, commercially aware, and focused on long-term value
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable in a target-driven role
