Assistant Head of Governance

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust .The role is part of the Jameson Divisional Quality Governance team, leading the safety and quality governance agenda across the division, including the boroughs of Brent, Harrow, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. The post holder will manage the divisional Quality Governance Team and its functions.Responsibilities

Manage patient safety incident investigations and learning, patient feedback, and the implementation of quality priorities.Lead risk management and clinical audit activity; provide assurance in line with national and regulatory guidance.Build strong working relationships with services and stakeholders to enable safe and high-quality services; attend and report to key trust-wide, divisional and borough quality meetings.Develop and maintain links with clinical and non-clinical staff inside the division and with external agencies (e.g., ICB, CQC, quality networks) to support service improvement.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to undertake clinical audit projects and incident investigations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Analytical skills and the ability to write complex reports.Strong communications and presentation skills; ability to manage complexity and deliver projects.Project management capabilities.Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. (Essential)Health / Social Sciences degree (Desirable).Experience

Significant relevant experience in quality governance; NHS experience is essential.Project management experience or equivalent; experience of change management and implementing ideas.Experience with incident reporting systems and data analysis; ability to present data to diverse audiences.Experience delivering to deadlines and working autonomously.Desirable: experience with SPSS or Quality Improvement Science methodology; experience with training development and supervision of staff.
