You’ll work on high-profile projects, be supported by industry-leading experts, and have the chance to contribute to shaping the future of the built environment.Let’s grow together—your career journey starts here with Currie and Brown.Your core duties will involve:Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clientsDelivering projects, commissions and professional assignmentsLeading commercial management services with limited supervisionAssume a leading role within the team and foster a collaborative, innovative environment where talent can thriveMaintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projectsDelivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely mannerLiaising with other managers to ensure good resource allocation and efficient financial controlProviding support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projectsRepresenting the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationshipsWhat skills and attributes are we looking for from youBSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalentMembership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)Awareness of sustainability requirements, the need for carbon reduction, carbon assessments and option studiesData Skills including preparing cost analyses, benchmarking and dashboard and smart reportingPublic/private sector experience – ideally experience gained from some of the following: new build, cut and carve, refurbishment and fit out - offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government and leisure and retailPre and post-contract experienceProficient CostX or other Cost Planning softwareGood technical writing, client-facing and communication skillsWell-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astuteA team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexibleAbout Us
