Senior Civil Engineer A new position has just become available to work as a Senior Civil Engineer on rail based projects for a market-leading consultancy. This position can be based across multiple offices: Manchester, York or Leeds. They have a great portfolio of projects, which include HS2 and Transpennine Route Upgrade. This is a great opportunity to join a busy consultancy on an initial 6 month basis.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver civil engineering design packages across multiple rail projectsUndertake and check detailed designs in accordance with Network Rail standards and applicable codesProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and techniciansCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including track, OLE, drainage, structures, and geotechnical engineersLiaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet programme, cost, and quality expectationsInput into feasibility studies, optioneering, and constructability reviewsSupport the preparation of technical reports, specifications, risk assessments, and design deliverablesContribute to project planning, resourcing, and commercial awareness where requiredSkills, Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor degree (or equivalent) in Civil EngineeringStrong prior civil and/or structural design experience within rail infrastructureDemonstrable experience delivering designs for: Lineside and ancillary civilsStations, platforms, and/or rail depotsEarthworks, drainage, access routes, foundat
