Quality Inspector - Mechanical – Uxbridge | £15-20ph | 6 Month ContractResponsibilities

Perform independent visual, dimensional inspection of component parts, sub-assemblies and finished product assemblies.Ensure compliance with operational procedures, specifications and customer/certification requirements; represent the quality team in all areas of operational quality.Support and administer the implementation of root cause and corrective actions within the business, focusing on operational excellence.Maintain good understanding of GDandT and ability to read technical drawings to interpret geometric features and tolerances.Work with materials including aluminium, steel, castings, cast iron, etc.Operate CMM equipment (where available) and manually measure parts using verniers, micrometres, gauges, callipers, etc.Document quality issues and report non-conformances; compile inspection reports.Comply with safety standards and company policies applicable to the product.Knowledge of FAIRS.Qualifications / Knowledge Required

Ability to read technical engineering drawings.CMM inspection experience (preferred).Use of Shadowgraph, Verniers, Gauges, Calipers.Knowledge of measuring equipment and how to compile inspection reports.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.How to Apply
