Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Hartlepool, County Durham
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

We''re looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead and support a range of capital and revenue projects. You''ll be instrumental in developing long-term engineering strategies, implementing new technologies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. From feasibility studies to commissioning, your work will span the full project lifecycle.

What you''ll be doing:

• Develop and deliver engineering projects aligned with site strategy.
• Lead safety studies including risk assessments, HAZOP and FMEA.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC, EN and BS standards.
• Support change management and documentation processes.
• Collaborate across departments and contribute to continuous improvement.

What you''ll need:

• HNC/HND with 7+ years'' experience or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in an industrial setting.
• Strong CAD skills (2D/3D modelling).
• Analytical mindset with good computing and statistical skills.
• Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
• Awareness of CDM regulations and project management techniques.
