Audit and Accounts Senior - HornchurchAs an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will support the delivery of audit assignments across a portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses. You will take responsibility for planning, fieldwork, and completion stages of audits, while supervising junior staff and acting as a key point of contact for clients.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident managing audits in a smaller practice environment where flexibility and client interaction are essential. Key ResponsibilitiesAudit DeliveryLead audits from planning through to completionPrepare and review audit files in line with UK auditing standards (ISA)Identify audit risks and design appropriate testing proceduresEnsure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirementsTeam SupervisionSupervise and review work of audit juniors and semi-seniorsProvide on-the-job training and feedbackSupport workload allocation across audit assignmentsClient ManagementAct as day-to-day contact for audit clientsAttend client meetings and present findings where requiredBuild and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with SMEsReporting and ComplianceDraft statutory accounts and audit reportsLiaise with directors on audit findings and recommendationsEnsure timely completion of assignments within deadlines Skills and Experience RequiredACA / ACCA qualified Strong UK audit experience in a practice environmentExperience with SME clients across multiple sectorsGood understanding of UK
