The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Principal / Associate Consultant to join the Stantec UK Air Quality team, based in either our London or Leeds offices, working alongside colleagues in the wider Environmental Services team and other disciplines within Stantec.

The Air Quality team conducts a variety of studies across the UK, supporting development projects through the planning and environmental permitting processes, including environmental impact assessments for different sectors.

You will have experience in air quality impact assessments, including road traffic, combustion, and odour emissions, utilizing dispersion modelling software and monitoring programs. A keen interest in developing these skills to incorporate emerging environmental requirements and a holistic approach to air quality is essential.

About YouYou should be a seasoned Air Quality consultant, with a relevant degree, Chartered status, and experience in mentoring junior staff. You must be capable of working independently and within multidisciplinary teams on various land development and urban regeneration projects.

Proficiency in dispersion modelling tools such as ADMS Roads, AERMOD, or ADMS5, and GIS applications within an air quality context is required. Experience with highway scheme assessments (e.g., DMRB, WebTAG) and emissions evaluation from sectors like power, minerals, industrial, or waste would be advantageous. A solid understanding of LAQM and the UK planning and regulatory systems is also essential.
