Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of a well-established, values-led FMCH business in Leicester. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll be a senior figure within the finance leadership team – championing consistency, robust governance, and high-quality reporting across the division. Your remit will span financial control, capital and cashflow management, and leading a team of finance professionals.You’ll act as the senior finance point of contact across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring accuracy, insight, and challenge are embedded into the day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities

Leading financial governance across PandL, Balance Sheet, and Cash FlowManaging month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliationsDriving improvements in working capital and cashflow across the divisionOverseeing internal and external audit processes and ensuring compliance with Group accounting standardsLeading Monthly Business Review (MBR) reporting and providing financial visibility across all sitesOverseeing capital project governance and fixed asset reportingManaging and developing a team of qualified accountants and project finance specialistsThe Ideal Candidate

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with post-qualification experienceBackground in a senior finance role within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a multi-site environmentStrong understanding of financial control, audit, and cashflow managementExperience with capital governance and leading cross-site reporting processesExcellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, hands-on approachYou’ll be joining a business where integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.
