This role is essential for maintaining a positive school culture, ensuring students placed in isolation are supported in line with behavioural policies, and helping them successfully reintegrate into mainstream learning.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day running of the school''s isolation room or reflection unit.
Supervise and support students placed in isolation due to behavioural incidents, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated.
Work closely with pastoral teams and senior leaders to support student welfare and behaviour interventions.
Record incidents, monitor student progress during isolation, and contribute to behaviour tracking systems.
Promote positive behaviour and reintegration strategies to support student return to the classroom.
Ensure the isolation space is a calm, structured, and purposeful environment.
Support with restorative conversations and de-escalation when necessary.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with students with behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties (e.g., SEMH, ADHD).
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, authoritative presence.
Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff.
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or behaviour support is advantageous.
Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour policies within a school setting.
