Virtual Finance Function Senior Manager (1 year FTC) – Belfast or NewryResponsibilities

Provide a full range of accountancy services to a portfolio of clients, including:Overseeing preparation of management accountsManaging client relationshipsStatutory reporting and reviewManage one-off projects at the request of the clientCollaborate with operational teams to understand financial impacts of operational decisions and assist with financial planning for new projectsReview and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including local tax regulations and IFRS relevant to the sectorCoach team members in the preparation of IFRS and UK GAAP compliant financial statementsReview and finalise IFRS and UK GAAP compliant financial statementsSupport the preparation for audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with legal requirementsImplement financial controls and processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reportingProvide commercial finance insights to clients and the teamLead on the delivery of finance functions to clients, new and existingDeliver one-off finance projects such as system insights, process and control reviews, and other financial information remediation exercisesImplement new accounting standards into standard financial processes (leasing, revenue recognition, share-based payments, etc.)Determine resource requirements to ensure the team has relevant experience, support and skills to deliver an unrivalled client experienceLead, motivate and coach all team members, aiding development of technical and client management skillsBuild strong relationships to understand clients’ priorities and provide trusted, valued advice with deadlines metCollaborate effectively with stakeholders across business areas, networks and the communityDevelop knowledge of AAB’s specialist services and identify opportunities for business developmentBe a vital part of the VFF management team, involved in day-to-day operations and achieving financial targets and strategic objectivesExperience and Skill Set
