Google DCX Engineering Lead - Hybrid (various locations) - 12 months Role OverviewIn this role, you will lead the engineering direction for a Google Cloud-based Data Centre Extension (DCX) platform, supporting secure and scalable IaaS capabilities across compute, networking, automation, and observability. You will guide a team of engineers while contributing directly to cloud engineering, automation, and platform improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, build, and operation of Google Cloud infrastructure and IaaS platform services. Manage and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers while driving engineering standards and best practices. Define platform strategy, roadmap, and engineering priorities across GCP infrastructure services. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation pipelines. Support secure-by-design cloud infrastructure including networking, monitoring, logging, and key management. Drive automation, observability, reliability, and platform optimisation initiatives.
