Supporting Special Educational Needs in a Nurturing School Environment

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our partner school in the Burton area . This is a unique opportunity to make a profound difference in a child''s educational journey while developing your own professional skills in a supportive setting.

About the Role:
You will be working closely with a child who has special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and develop essential life skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building a strong, trusting relationship with your assigned student to create a stable and supportive learning environment
  • Delivering personalised 1:1 support while also facilitating small group work sessions when required
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating care plans to reflect the child''s progress and changing needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement effective support strategies

Location:-Burton upon Trent area
Start Date:-ASAP - September Starts Available
Contract:-Term-time only - Permanent - Part-time or full-time
Salary Range:21,000 - -23,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Qualifications:-Ideally, a teaching assistant qualification or child care or health and social care - open to a range of qualifications.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:15am - 4:15pm
  • Friday: 8:15am - 3:00pm
