Responsibilities

Experience with “ISeriesAccess” for WINS (Wheatley Insurance System) on an AS400 platform, specifically with the Policy Administration Process.

Knowledge of binding, billing, claims, and regulatory reporting.

Understanding of the different WINS working environments and various WINS products for policy binding and insurance (e.g., Automobile, General Liability).

Strong knowledge of Worker’s Compensation Policy Insurance and regulatory reporting (as per WCIO).

Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements from Data Collection Organizations (DCOs).

Knowledge of ISO regulatory reporting for various lines of business (LOBs) for policy and claims generated from the WINS system.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience with WCIO / WCPOLS manuals and understanding record layouts for reporting transaction codes, record types, and endorsements.

Familiarity with BABOK.

Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and follow the SDLC lifecycle through deployment, including the BRD.

Ability to provide resolutions for business issues and to understand how policy transactions are coded and issued for WINS products.

Ability to drive multi-step processes to obtain approval from the NJCRIB for electronic file submission of Proof of Coverage data, matching data to the hard copy policy.

Technical Skills

Experience with the Policy Admin files of the WINS system.

Experience with AS400 commands.

Strong SQL knowledge for querying the database.

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

Understanding COBOL is a plus.

Methodology: Waterfall.

Knowledge of how a WC policy is rated and the algorithms used for standard earned premium calculations.

Understanding data mapping from hard copy policies to wcpols files for regulatory reporting.

Ability to understand data flow, process mapping, and data integration in WINS.

Ability to resolve WCPOLS production issues and diagnose production errors or fines from rating bureaus.
