Job Overview

You will lead, manage, and develop and inspire a payroll and HR team as well as support and lead various projects across payroll and HR.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Managing a medium size payroll team who are responsible for paying around 6000 employees across various pay frequencies
• Strategic involvement and effective decision making that promotes continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement efficient payroll processes and procedures.
• Support Group reporting
• Provide leadership and development opportunities for the payroll team.
• Ensure the business with compliant with employment laws and regulations - advise on best practice.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

• UK in house Payroll legislation knowledge
• Strong leadership qualities, somebody who can lead from the front, motivate and inspire
• Experience developing and retaining staff
• Experience in managing medium to large payroll and HR teams
• Experience with HR Projects, HR Policies and employment law experience

Desirable Skills and Competencies:

• Experience with Midland iTrent
• Knowledge of various payroll/HR software
• Experience with implementations of payroll/HR software
