WINEP Project Manager - Senior/Principal (Water Resources)
WSP in the UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior/Principal Project Manager to manage WINEP water resources investigations within the Catchment Science team of the Sustainable Water Management Consulting group. The role supports AMP8 with delivering high-quality technical assessments and reporting, working with hydrogeologists, hydrologists, geomorphologists and hydro-ecologists.Responsibilities
Manage and support the delivery of robust technical assessments and high-quality reporting across the Sustainable Water Management and Aquatic Ecology teams.Lead day-to-day client and regulator engagement for delivery of WINEP investigations.Project management including financial and change control and quality assurance through checking and reviewing.Collaborate with Service Area leads to develop and deliver the pipeline of WINEP projects.Generate high-quality bid proposals and develop innovative solutions to meet clients\'' needs.Promote a \"safety first\" attitude in line with WSP\''s health and safety policy and procedures.What we are looking for
Experience of managing WINEP investigations or similar, including project and technical management, with ability to coordinate a wider team of experts to deliver robust technical assessments.Understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations of WINEP investigations, particularly regarding the Water Framework Directive.Experience in projects involving assessing impacts of abstraction on the water environment; ability to work with technical experts to deliver projects.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and develop business opportunities and prepare winning proposals.Excellent report-writing and technical review skills.Qualifications
MSc and/or BSc in a relevant discipline (e.g. earth sciences, environmental science, geography).Gained or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body.What we offer
